- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★Stopped in on my way back from kelowna for a snack and ended up getting an amazing burger, it had a fried egg, bacon and all the regulars on it. Patty was a meatloaf style and went perfect with the toppings. Great cozy little place!By Fred Mckill, April 18, 2017
- ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆Went here at 1pm on a Friday and it wasn't busy. The waitress was pleasant and we ordered a turkey club sandwich to share. It took a while, about 30 minutes, for our food to arrive. It was toasted as requested but the sandwich was really cold. Sandwich could have used moe mayo. Maybe something else on the menu would have been better.By Jon Poulin, February 15, 2017
- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★Great home cooked lunches and breakfast all day! Can get busy at lunch so be early or come after 12:50 or so. Sandwiches are huge but 1/2 orders are available or share with someone. Cabbage rolls with Pierogis, Hot Beef w/gravy, Turkey Club are my favourites!By Iain MacLeod, January 30, 2017
- ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆I have recently let one of my friends, an experienced cottage customer, introduce me to this restaurant. The following are my thoughts on it. The food tastes very home made, which is definitely a bonus. The waitressing staff definitely make you feel like family which is also a bonus in my opinion. Another interesting feature is that most of the decorations on the walls are for sale. That being said there are many decorations, they are close together and it can feel a bit overwhelming. The seating arrangment is also very cozy. The chairs are also very close together so it may not be the place to share secrets unless you want all surrounding tables to know your conversations. One thing I didnt really like was the food ratio per meal. Though it was very good, there was a lot of bread, so not the place to watch your carbs intake. I had a half sandwich and there was more than enough bread to make at least 2 normal sized full sandwiches. Because there was so much bread (very thick slices) the sandwich was very hard to eat, messy and fell appart quickly, which in my opinion took away from the flavours. The borscht I had was alright, the sour cream is extra though. Speaking of their soups, I was also informed customers serve their own soup so be sure to select the correct bowl for your meal or you will be charged extra. Also if you are going to get a special, be sure your waitress knows well ahead of time. The reason I say this is because I thought the waitress knew that I was getting all the items in the special an still brought me the wrong size dessert which negated the deal for the special of the day. The price is reasonable but a bit high on certain items, this especially if you consider the portion sizes. The desert options however have not only surprised me but also impressed me. And for that I will be sure to return.By Philippe Lurol, December 26, 2016
